Bouffalo Lab SoCs#

  • BL602

    BL602/BL604 is combo chip-set for Wi-Fi 4 and BLE 5.0.

  • BL616/BL618

    BL616/BL618 is combo chip-set for Wi-Fi 6, Classic Bluetooth, Bluetooth low energy 5.3 and IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee/Thread.

    BL616/BL618 has fully certified with all Thread 1.3 features, included Thread SSED and Thread Border Router.

  • BL616CL

    BL616CL is combo chip-set for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth low energy 5.3.

  • BL70X

    BL70X is combo chip-set for BLE and IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee/Thread.

    BL70X has fully certified with all Thread 1.3 features, included Thread SSED and Thread Border Router.

    • BL702/BL706 has 14dbm tx power and is recommended for routing devices. SDK uses BL702 as a general name.

    • BL702L/BL704L is designed for low power application. SDK uses BL702L as a general name.

Build system#

Bouffalo Lab Matter examples currently use different build systems based on the SDK family:

  • bouffalo_sdk + Matter is used for BL61X, such as BL616/BL618. It uses the CMake build system from bouffalo_sdk, with Matter integrated into the SDK application project. Use the example CMake/Makefile flow for product application development. scripts/build/build_examples.py is also compatible and dispatches to the same CMake build for these targets.

  • BL_IOT_SDK + Matter is used for BL602 and BL702/BL702L. It uses the Matter ninja build system. Use scripts/build/build_examples.py to generate the build configuration and run ninja.
